On the 27th of November 2017, a group of fourth year students got on a bus at 10:45 AM and headed to the National aquatic Centre and took part in a scuba-diving course. When we arrived, we were split into two groups - Group 1 and 2. I was in Group 2. Group 1 headed to the changing rooms to get into their swimsuits, and my group sat up onthe stands. At 12:30 PM, Ella, Colm, Hugo and I went down to the poolside to take part in the scuba-diving theory test (Us four missed the Theory test that week prior so we took part in it then). The lady explained the basics and rules of scuba-diving to us, for example how to deflate and inflate our Scuba-vets. About 15 minutes later, Group 1 finished and our group went into the changing room to get ready to enter the pool. We arrived at the pool and put on our wetsuits, the scuba-diving team handed us a scuba-diving kit and vest, as well as Flippers and a diving mask. About 5 to 10 minutes later we got into the water. My group consisted of 6 to 7 girls including me. The lady taught us how to descend deeper into the water and ascend back up to the surface. Whilst we were diving we swam through a ring and threw a mini rocket to each other. After a while it was our time to finish. in conclusion I really enjoyed scuba-diving. It was an amazing experience and I hope I can participate in it again.
