During the month of December 2017, The Y.S.I group and I have been organising and preparing dignity bags for the homeless. These bags were one of the many ways in which we’ve been helping the homeless. Our Y.S.I group asked each year group in the school to bring in certain items that we would need daily for example, food and sanitary products as well as scarves and hats.
On Tuesday, the 19th of December we filled over 80 bags with food products, sanitary goods and warm clothes. We later contacted ‘Tiglin’ you are an organisation that help the homeless (we were going to be giving the dignity bags to them). A few weeks later, we gave tiglin the dignity bags. We placed the bags on their ‘No Bucks Café’ bus which was parked outside of the school. Our Y.S.I group hope that we helped with making a difference to the homeless people‘s lives in Ireland today.
