On the 22nd of September 2017, 4C and 4B took part in the Eagles Flight Workshop. The workshop helped us improve on many abilities such as planning, team-work and co-operation. The mission of the game was to 'mine' as much gold as possible in the space of twenty days. The days included both travelling to the mine and getting back home again. We were supplied with limited items such as fuel, supplies, batteries, tents and money. Each team were allowed to trade goods and buy goods off of each other. Everyone chose when to leave the main junction and what route to take for their journey. Each route varied in how long it took to get to the mine in days. We had to plan our route carefully because the weather also cost us time, for example, if we were hit by an "Arctic Blizzard". Our mobility basically relied on the weather. We had to use one fuel card and one supply card each day. Some teams didn't plan or communicate properly so their items ran scarce towards the end of the game. In the end my team brought back 10 gold which we were very proud of. In conclusion the Eagles Flight Workshop was very beneficial as it made each individual plan out tough situations.
